Dressing Your Newborn
Dressing your new baby is something you are going to become very familiar with as burp-up and diaper accidents are likely to have you changing outfits a few times a day. While it can be tempting to buy the cutest and most stylish clothes out there, you will soon find that the secret to dressing your new baby is convenience.
Look for clothes that slip on easily and that don’t have complicated snap and button systems so that you can put them on and take them off easily. You also want to avoid clothing like hats that tie around the neck or any other items that could be hazardous to your baby. Because most babies don’t like things that pull over their head, items that button or snap down the front can be more convenient. Ultimately, it is up to you and to what your baby is comfortable with. Dressing your new baby may be as simple as onesies and pull-on pants with a protective sun hat, or it may be a snowsuit, winter hat, and mittens. It all depends on where you live, what the weather is like, and how you choose to dress your infant.
Now let’s take a look at bathing and changing your new baby.
